I just left the store about 30 minutes ago. I was not feeling the best but had to go to the pharmacy for a prescription. As I was waiting for my prescription I walked the store, purchasing 2 items at the diy checkout and dropping them, along with my receipt, into my purse. I then walked back to the pharmacy to continue to wait. As I was waiting, a much older female employee, Charlene, came up to me and loudly in front of other customers asked me if I had put items in my purse. I was taken aback by her rude tone and quickly took out my receipt to show her I purchased my items. She then loudly demanded to inspect my purse in the middle of the store in front of the other customers. Without thinking I opened my bag to show her and she had the nerve to put her filthy hands in my purse and rummage around. I should have called the police the moment she approached me and waited for them to resolve this issue. I was humiliated by this very old, tired woman, Charlene, when she could have just handled the situation differently from the beginning by simply just taking me aside and away from customers and ASKING POLITELY. Charlene clearly needs to be retrained in class as well as customer service. Actually, all the older women who work at the seaway mall location could use this training also. Why are they all so mean???
Don’t waste your time here, there are better pharmacy options. They are not transparent about their prices and do not care to actually check if your insurance rang through. They treat you like a number, not a patient. Hopefully you don’t need any injections, they won’t know what size needle to use and will make you wait over an hour (when there’s no one else in line). If you want to feel confident in your pharmacy care, I would not recommend this location. (And please no false apologies or ‘call us at 1-800’ - an apology will not support someone’s health nor will it rectify the behaviours and choices of the pharmacy team)
Night staff are trash the older women in particular are always rude won’t even speak when you thank them (the French looking one is definitely the worst) , treated like I’m stealing because I like to look at things god forbid I shop in a store…
The pharmacist there (older lady with glasses) is extremely unprofessional and rude. I completed the intake form online and pre-booked an appointment for a ‘minor illness’. The pharmacist refused to honour my appointment and discuss the issue with me. I had a pre-existing prescription for an existing condition from the shoppers on ontario road. I brought in the bottle and wanted to renew it at this location.. Biggest mistake. I will not be returning. I have never been so insulted or dismissed in my life. Not to mention the person in front of me got the exact same dismissal. Neither of us could believe this was really happening. If this pharmacist can’t be bothered to do her job, she shouldn’t be showing up to work. Don’t visit this pharmacy!! Should be 0 stars.
I usually like to shop at that location of Shoppers Drug Mart but the post office has the worst customer service ever. Very rude, snotty and be little to certain customers like myself who was try to do returns from online orders (especially this old and grey hair Karen like lady that works there). Never going back to do my online return or using Canada post service ever again !!!
Susan... you were very warm with your greeting and also brought a laid back feel which had me feeling more comfortable. Instant Rapport! You're Awsome!!
After having it come up in conversation recently, I do realize I should've given this rating about 1-2 years ago when this happened. But I was truthfully unsure if it was even worth it to leave this review. I just got off work and decided to go to this store. Masks were still a requirement. So, I was wearing one. I was tired, but looking to treat myself so I went to the hair dye section. I admit, they have many good options to choose from, but I did want to spend a reasonable amount and not go crazy. I was planning on bleaching to try and temporarily get rid of the natural ginger highlights in my hair. So, yes. I was in the aisle for about 10 minutes, I was also texting and sending photos of the different dyes and bleaches to one of my family members and asking for advice from said family member. Then I hear an employee call for a security scan in the hair dye aisle. I look away from my phone and see an older lady with blondish whiteish hair giving me the dirtiest look. She looked so disgusted with me. Obviously, I work in retail, so I knew that was her assuming I was a thief. She walked past me I think once more and kept looking at me like I was scum. I felt very uncomfortable. So I walked over the the makeup area and saw a lady working there. I told her I knew the security scan was about me and that the reason why I was taking so long was because I was having a hard time with what bleaches and dyes I should get. I just want to say this about the makeup lady, she made me feel so much better. I truly appreciate how she helped me and actually treated me as a human being instead of being like the rude employee that assumed I was a thief because I was in the hair dye aisle for all of 10 minutes... The 5 stars that I am giving this store are actually for that lady. And the other respectful employees. :) Not the rude employee. She gets no stars. Hope you see this someday. Because you are a very good person. To the rude employee, get some sense and instead of being disgruntled and assuming things, ask the person if they need help. Or just get a different job. :)
