Very shady, based on the way they treated my wife. I made an appointment for my wife to get her summer tires put on (on rims), they gave me a price over the phone. When she went in person, they charged her more money, and they told her there were $4000 in damages to her car and she needed new summer tires (her car is brand new, I have maintenance done regularly on it and I got her brakes done last year). Not a good look Active Green + Ross
My experience started with a puncture on the sidewall which is deemed unrepairable to standards. I have called around different places to get the tire replaced and we all know during December this could be challenging. I stumbled across Active Green and Ross due to outstanding google reviews. I decided to give them a try. Upon calling I got in contact with Marvin and he was able to sneak me in schedule same day despite the congestion. Ordered the new tire after a few days and rebooked to have them installed. Upon inspecting the work I had noticed scratches all along the rim. I had mentioned this to Marvin and he mentioned they were not scratches but merely plastic and that he had a quick remedy to have it removed. A simply buff. Marvin had mentioned for me to come back so he can order the solution to buff it out. After a few days I came back and sure enough the scratches did not buff out. This was not a surprise to me as you can feel the gouges on the rim. Marvin had mentioned that he can have the rim repaired but I would be left without a vehicle for the period it would take to have the rim sent to Hamilton. A remedy that simply wont do as I need my vehicle to get around. After going back and forth Marvin got a hold of “Ryan”, I’m assuming Ryan is the owner of the establishment and decided to replace my rim. A few days later the new rim came in and booked another appointment to have them installed. Marvin had mentioned they had to mount the rim in such a way so that this time around it would not be scratched. I removed a star as I had to endure an experience that should not have happened initially. However Marvin and team did make it right. This is very important to consider as it shows they value their customers and their experience in their establishment. I can understand that everyone makes mistakes but what will you do to remedy the situation and how you’re going to make it right to the customer. Thanks again Marvin and team.
In a day very full of clients wanting seasonal tire changes (first snow), the staff here laid out the circumstances & potential for moderate delays. They completed the job in under 2 hours & contacted me promptly. Reminded me to come back for check of torque on tires after 100 kms. Well done team AG+RT
