We stayed two nights, in one room, and our friends two nights in another room. Here's the good and bad:GOOD:Clean, Quiet, spacious, convenient.Very Good: Extremely friendly and welcoming staffBAD;Look, it's an old hotel, so the wallpaper is peeling off in a few places, and it is showing it's age. Our friend's door lock was not working, causing some inconvenience.SUMMARY:Despite the age, they are doing their best and we would stay there again. Especially at that price.
This is a tough one... the hotel staff are incredibly helpful and kind; but the cleanliness of the hotel room was seriously lacking. As you can see in the photos the dust, cobwebs, stained blankets, missing ceiling, broken glass on one of the entrance doors and the hardly sanitary ice bucket proves that someone is cutting corners in the maintenance department and no one is catching it. Had I seen these issues prior to sleeping there I would have checked out and sought cleaner accommodations. On a positive note, the staff are very kind and helpful. The hotel location is excellent! Tim Hortons is a skip and a hop, a popular local restaurant is directly across the street, there are plenty of shopping options around including a pharmacy and mall. I would go back if guaranteed a clean room, I really liked the location and the staff. I believe in second chances...
Great stay! Super friendly and helpful staff. New beds and furniture make the room inviting and comfortable. Can't wait to come back again.
Clean room. Hallway looks old. The mall and other restaurants are in walking distance so that is good. Front desk was helpful, provided us with a fridge when asked. Would stay again.
Room was not what we expected!! We were supposed to have a accessible room with walk in shower!! No luck!! Floor in the room was very dirty!! My feet were black!!Heat and A/C did not work!! Our room was not cleaned our entire two night stay!! Hotel itself is not wheelchair accessible at all no accessible doors at all totally unacceptable!!Would not recommend hotel for anyone that uses a wheelchair at all!!
