Pretty baffling. I wanted to ask someone at the desk about login feature on the bike. Bike works without login but I wanted to know more about it. She told me she didn't know anything about it, but she wasn't really trying to go above and beyond to help me either. Then I saw another employee walk by and asked her about it but she didn't know anything about it either. She told me to wait floor attendant was going to finish the class he/she was holding and would be available on the workout floor soon. However, I was not able to ask anyone for the help for the rest of the night because I haven't seen anybody in YMCA uniform. Not being knowledgeable about something is okay because there is first time for everything. What made me upset the most were the body language and the look on their faces as if I was asking a real stupid question. Based on the look on their faces they were probably thinking "Bike works without logging in, so why are you fussy about this?" And where was the attendant? Where is the friendly environment that YMCA promised? Why is it that other members are way more helpful and friendlier than the staff? Maybe if staffs are helpful and friendly, they would not have to offer two-week membership trial to allure more members.
I've been a member since new facility opened. My husband goes for cardiac rehab. I do my own thing while he's busy with the program. Every age and fitness level. Running track and weight training.
Love this place. Staff are always awesome and friendly. The floor staff never make me feel silly for asking about new exercises or machines. Very friendly. I've been a member for about a year and a half and couldn't be happier. My kids also take swimming lessons and the instructors are amazing. My kids have taken lessons elsewhere and never improved. They're flying through levels since starting here. And my son counts down the days until he gets to see Katie. She's great. My one complaint...you need a second leg press. It's like hunger games trying to get a turn on it LOL
Staff are rude here and strict. I can walk in the hall and theyll yell at me. Overall nice place and nice gym, the gym is really good and helped me get into shape. The swimming pool is nice but theres a no diving rule, so I cant dive. I also really like the work out place up top.
They have really great staff and great facilities. Its always clean, staff are helpful and friendly. Don't go to the pools if you're sensitive to chlorine though, because it's very strong there. It's a nice-looking place as well. They're accessible, family friendly, and fun. There's a family change room which is very helpful and the looks are heated and indoor so you can swim year-round. If you or your kids want to get involved with activities they have kids programs, adult programs, sports, swimming lessons for all ages and more.
