this place has cancelled most classes becuase of lack of customers..i couldnt go anymore because of scheduales and tried cancelling the contract..he agreed to cancel then i noticed payments still going from my account..i receive a letter from the educational funding company today that i owe 3 payments.dont go to this place unless you want your good credit rating destroyed..this place is a dump and very dirty. ppl get lured to bring their children there
So happy to see we weren't the only ones with this experience (sorry others got duped). I think when a 'beauty salon' moved into one of the rooms was when the alarms really went off. Payments continued to be taken, the 'owner' has an incredibly short temper and apparently was not taught by his handlers that you should treat your customers well. Our daughter learned nothing 'martial arts' related. We are still waiting for money owed, as well as instruction. How kids weren't hurt throwing improper punches I will never understand. I could go on and on......
The owner has a poor attitude towards females in his class; on numerous occasions he has said, "you're not girls, you're kickboxers," among other remarks. I have never like his attitude but continued to allow my daughter to go because she had a couple people she had good relationships with. Money was tight and my daughter was not attending class so we asked for a suspension of the monthly payments which the owner's partner agreed to do for us. Well, the payment came out anyway. The owner explained that they needed 30 days to suspend payment but the person who took the call didn't know that. We asked for refund of the payment, owner refused but said the payment would be suspended for two months. Our daughter was thinking about coming back in July but was unsure because her eyes were opening to his poor attitude and of injuries caused by being struck by a car. I informed the owner that she would not be around in June but I would let him know about July. He said the payment would be suspended for June and July (the May payment would count towards July). In June, the payment came out again. When I called and calmly tried to explain my situation the owner became belligerent. He refused to refund the money for the June payment even though he knew my daughter was not coming to the "dojo" in June. Sure, I should have put a stop payment even after I asked for a suspension, but properly run businesses should be trustworthy and honorable enough to take care of their customers when they make a mistake. Don't trust SuperKix.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The owner is a crook!!! Will keep taking payments from your account after you have resigned. He has done this to many people. Do not sign anything with him and give him cash only. I among other people have filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to which he has failed to respond to these people's complaints. There are many other kickboxing establishments in Welland...go to those places!!!
